Thanks so much to these amazing people from worldschool Antigua Guatemala. My kids and us are having the best time. The worldschool team creates a space where all kids can just be and are being seen and loved. They are worldschoolers themselves and really built a Community of like minded families. Crafts and games, football and kickboxing, Guatemalan cultural activities, playing all the time are the ingredients but what makes it so Special are these amazing people. The eco farms where the hub takes place is so lovely and so Safe. Highly recommended if you want to experience something Special and to have a wonderful time in Guatemala. - Julia Wa
"We just finished three amazing weeks at Worldschool Antigua Guatemala, and it was honestly one of the highlights of our trip. Every day was filled with fun, creativity, and connection—our kids were so happy and engaged they never wanted to leave at the end of the day!
The setting is beautiful—eco farms surrounded by nature, with so much space for the kids to explore (and even tiny puppies to play with, which they adored!). They loved all the hands-on activities and the fresh, organic food—it was the perfect mix of learning and play.
A huge thank you for creating such a thoughtful, warm, and inspiring space. You can really feel the love and intention behind everything they do.
We originally planned to be in Antigua for just a short visit, but after our experience at Worldschool Antigua, we decided to stay longer. It’s truly a special place for families who value connection, nature, and joyful learning.

"We arrived with not many expectations because we had never been to a world schooling hub before. We, as parents, absolutely loved it because the children were having such a good time doing all the activities and playing with children from different ages. Also quite a few activities were organized for the parents, so we could connect with other likeminded parents on a deeper level. I feel very inspired and I have absolutely no regrets of coming to Antigua for the world schooling hub. My children were having a blast. - Yelmer Ingot
My daughters attended the Worldschool Antigua, Guatemala hub May of 2025, and they absolutely loved it. [It is an] interactive, supportive hub full of fun activities, such as learning how to make your own tortillas, learning about traditional Mayan clothing, being exposed to Guatemalan reptiles, making soaps and candles, and more! The girls also loved having some free time to hang out at Eco Farms (an absolutely amazing place!) with the other expat kids they met, and we even met returning families. Additionally, [the staff] were wonderful about sharing local tips for those of us completely new to Guatemala. Can’t recommend this hub enough! - Sherrie Davis Malleis
"We had a great time at Worldschool Antigua Guatemala. The space at EcoFarms is really nice with a café, co-working space, nice playground, soccer field, lots of gardens, a koi fish pond, and puppies! The kids had good things to say about the program and made lots of friends. I would highly recommend the worldschool to incoming families!" - Allie Michelle
Since my husband had to stay back in the United States for work, I ended up doing this hub as a solo mom. Antigua felt safe to me and the hub was perfect. I was able to stay there and work, while keeping an eye on my son, as much or as little as I had to. My son was 4 years old at that time, so I wanted to make sure that he is comfortable and taken care of, which he absolutely was. I love that they include food and snacks for the kids during the hub hours, I think that's pretty awesome and helpful for the kiddos while they are running around and doing activities, etc. The activities were well structured and thought out, with added free play time for children which was awesome. Another HUGE thing is affordability. If you start searching for hubs around the world to attend, which we have attended several, they are getting more and more expensive, some many thousands of dollars.. However it is very feasible to pay the fee they are asking for a 3 week program, that includes food, etc! So GREAT VALUE. We have been in the process of creating our own hub in Bali and trust me when I say, it is hard to keep the cost down and affordable, they way this hub is, so huge props for making it accessible to a worldschooling community! Anyway, if you are thinking about whether or not to go, do yourself and your kids a favor and sign up! - Khrystyna Chorna
Posting a late review of our amazing adventures in June! We attended the June hub with my 2 kids (6 and 5) and it was such a great experience! My 5 year old is usually super shy and takes about 6 weeks to warm up to a new group usually, and here it took her 2 days! The staff on site were really attentive with all the kids, helping them explore things that they liked during the free play time (climbing or drawing or playing chess). The structured activities were great, my kids loved the kickboxing and the animal handling! There were optional activities for the families and we were all added to a whatsapp group so we could hang out outside the hub and organise adventures together! I was travelling alone with my kids and felt really safe in Antigua and loved the balance of the drop off hub and hanging out with other families. I would definitely recommend! Thanks for everything, it was such a pleasure spending a month with you and your wonderful family! - Lara Sengupta
We absolutely loved our time at the Worldschool Antigua Hub. When I asked my daughter what her favorite part was, she simply said, “everything.” This was our first worldschool hub experience, and we truly couldn’t have asked for a better introduction. Each day, my daughter was excited to return—crafts, bracelet making, learning about Mayan culture through dress-up, soap making, and a hands-on reptile encounter were just some of the highlights. The outdoor space offered so much room to play and explore, and spending time with Panda the farm dog and the two rescue puppies made it even more special. Leaving was bittersweet—we were sad to go, but deeply grateful for the incredible experiences, the lifelong friendships we formed, and for such a positive beginning to our worldschooling journey. Thank you Wordschool Antigua for creating such a magical experience. - Michelle Tanner Mariska
We attended the October Hub with our 3 girls ages 8,9, and 12. I just wanted to leave a quick review and recommendations for others. Firstly, the Hub is amazing, the staff all do an amazing job getting all the children involved and incorporating many Guatemalan and other cultural traditions and activities. Tasty kid friendly food is provided daily. Tons of opportunities for families to get together and hang out. We stayed within walking distance to the Hub, which was great for us, but note it's a doable but long walk to the center of town from there. TukTuks and Ubers are inexpensive and readily available. There is a nice grocery store near the Hub as well. Don't miss the Pacaya hike, Hobbitenango, and free walking tours downtown. Attend and enjoy!

“We are a traveling family of 3, now residing in Antigua, we were looking for a place where Iker could meet children and play freely, Antigua's worldschool is that and more, they do a great job, they have created a space full of fun, friendship, artistic activities, crafts and sports, iker now attends the fourth hub, and for those who come, it is a great opportunity to connect with other cultures and feel at home which is very valuable for travelers, an oasis where time stops and we all return to simple life as before, connecting through interesting conversations and children playing without screens, infinite gratitude to all the workers for this unforgettable time, we will continue in all the hubs to come.” - Johanna
“The community this worldschool has created is wonderful. The location of the hub was amazing. The communication was frequent enough to where I felt accommodated and that my daughter was safe. I enjoyed the family activities as well. My daughter enjoyed the activities and I appreciated that they paid homage to Guate. As my first worldschool experience, I feel spoiled and fortunate to have had such a life changing experience.” - Nicole
"The Worldschool Antigua hub preceded any expectation we may have had. They provided the perfect blend of structure and freedom, allowing our kids to thrive in a safe and enriching environment. Variety of activities throughout the weeks kept kids engaged and entertained. We made friends from all over the world, and were so impressed with the kindness and inclusivity of the community." - Matea
“My 2 daughters had the privilege of attending the first worldschool Antigua hub this year in January and it also happened to be the kick off to our 4 month trip in Central America. Even though it was at the beginning of our trip, it’s one of the parts of our adventure the kids talk about most. The art, the teachers, the animals, the friends they made, it was so memorable for them! The nurturing staff and leaders are so accommodating, they just want every kid to have a great experience. When I asked that my kids get more Spanish exposure, they happily obliged. The projects and experiences were super special and true to the area and culture, just as it should be. We can’t wait to come back soon!

An unforgettable experience for our 11-year-old! Our son had the most incredible time at the Worldschool Antigua Guatemala Hub! The program was the perfect blend of cultural immersion, hands-on learning, and unforgettable fun. From the moment he joined, he was engaged in meaningful activities that brought local history, art, and nature to life. The facilitators were warm, knowledgeable, and truly passionate about creating enriching experiences for the kids. Every day was an adventure, and our son came home excited to share what he’d learned and experienced. It was educational without ever feeling like “school”—he had so much fun while growing in confidence and curiosity. We’ve traveled to many places as a worldschooling family, and this hub stands out as one of the best. Our son is already asking when he can go back—and we’re just as excited for a return visit! Highly recommend it to any traveling family looking for something truly special. - JJ Stranan
“We attended the Feb-March hub. We absolutely loved it! We had a 3, 7, and 9 year old. They loved the teachers, activities, and animals on the farm. All the staff and facilitators gave excellent care for our children, helping them make friends and feel comfortable in a new place. They had an engaging activity for the kids each day. There was a fun play ground and soccer field. The kids were outdoors most of the day and enjoyed lots of nature. They had arts and crafts, herbal and holistic healing, farming and agriculture, and Mayan cultures workshops and more. We supplemented the learning from the hub with our chosen English and math curriculum. We were also able to set up Spanish lessons each day through the farm. We really enjoyed doing this extra learning. We would definitely recommend this hub.” - Kate Leifson
“Worldschool Antigua Guatemala is so amazing. Our kids were so obsessed with it the entire time. They made so many friends and they were so sad when it ended. It’s held on a farm with a really cute atmosphere. They did a lot of really fun projects, but the kids could decide if they wanted to do them or not, which was cool. They also had plenty of unstructured playtime where the kids were playing soccer or capture the flag. They were able to use so much energy, it was incredible! The kids also loved the food, and one of mine is very picky so that’s saying something!” - Rachel and Ryan
“We had always heard great things about Antigua, Guatemala, when we found a month long summer camp for the kids (which accepts Bitcoin as a payment option!), we jumped on it! The Worldschool Antigua camp was perfect! All 3 kids genuinely loved their month long camp! Every day the kids looked forward to going, came back enthusiastic (& tired!) and were very sad when it was over! Besides the amazing location, they learned about the local culture, did tons of arts&crafts, played with the animals, climbed, played soccer, cooked and had tons of fun with the other kids! If you are looking for a fun filled camp in Central America, reach out to Worldschool Antigua Guatemala. - Annelies
The worldschool team provide a caring and fun environment for kids to thrive. Our kids (11yo, 6yo, 5yo) have attended two hubs now and each one has enriched our kids lives. There are structured activities, but also a lot of spaces for the kids to take time for themselves or play in a small group if they don’t want to participate in the current activity – play areas, soccer field, climbing wall, huge garden, rabbits. We appreciate this flexibility as each of our kids have a different learning style. There were a couple of social conflicts with our kids in the first one, but it was handled professionally and with love. These were great learning opportunities for our kids. I would recommend this program to any family looking for semi-structured education for their children.” - David Keys
“Our two children attended the hub in April for 3 weeks and they absolutely loved it! They loved the fact that there was an activity planned every day but that they also had time to create their own games and lead activities through their growing or newly established interests - such as setting up a stone business! Both of them really enjoyed the food that was available daily, never coming home hungry and the variety of fresh fruit that was readily available to snack on. They both made friends while there and encountered new experiences while making many fond memories. Both of them were always excited to get up in the morning and go each day! They loved caring for the animals at Eco Farm and playing with the resident rescued puppy, Brownie. We also took up the opportunity to have daily Spanish lessons, on a one to one basis, through Eco Farm, as a family which we all enjoyed. We felt very welcome and part of the community. We were sad when we had to leave but wouldn’t hesitate returning at another time and would recommend the hub to anyone visiting Antigua. Worldschool Antigua is a special place!” - Laura and Lee
“My teen absolutely loved her time volunteering at the farm in Worldschool Antigua, Guatemala. The city, the place, the activities, the families, the children…all of it! She woke up daily motivated and ready to go. It was such a positive experience for me too to be surrounded by likeminded people. We highly recommend this WS hub to all families.” - Carolina
