WHO WE ARE
our story ...
























In early 2023, we were feeling more and more disconnected, becoming disillusioned with the rat race while also losing faith in Canada’s education system. We made the difficult decision to sell our farm, shed most of our belongings and move into our 17-foot travel trailer. This also kickstarted our journey into the world of homeschooling, unschooling and worldschooling! Over the next three years we explored the western United States, much of Mexico, and parts of Central America. This was a time
of rich learning (and unlearning), family bonding, and self-discovery. There were many magical moments and plenty of challenging times. The nomadic life surprised

us with a richer community than we’d ever experienced. We realized that living simply, and having less, allowed more spaciousness to nurture connections and deepen relationships. During this time, we also learned to start trusting our children’s instincts about what and how they wanted to learn. We came to recognize the massive role that emotional and nervous system regulation play in a child’s ability to learn at all! Play became our greatest teacher, and nature our most inspiring classroom—far beyond traditional school. After three years on the road, we were feeling the call to stay still for a while and start creating again. We landed in Antigua after much letting go and trusting in the flow. Now, through Worldschool Antigua, we are sharing our learnings and experiences with other families and also continuing to learn from those on their own journeys (the outward and the inward kind!).
