safety and standards

We understand that when selecting a hub, the details are crucial. Here, we provide a transparent and consistent overview of our commitments and assurances, aiding families in their vetting process to help feel confident that we are the right fit for them.

STUDENT-TO-FALCULTY RATIO

We maintain a ratio of one staff member for every three kids. This is well above industry standards and ensures that every child receives the care and attention they need, in a protected environment. We have six staff and a maximum of eighteen children.

FIRST-AID TRAINING

As the owner and chief staff member, Daniel holds an up-to-date Standard First Aid & CPR-C certification, which includes training in emergency first aid and CPR for adults, children, and infants, and the use of an AED. This certification ensures preparedness to handle medical emergencies effectively, providing reassurance that your children are in safe hands.

OUR STAFF

Our staff have over two and a half years of experience with the Worldschool Antigua community, caring for over 120 families without any complaints or safeguarding issues. Their dedication to the children and professionalism ensure a trusted and valued environment for your kids.

STAFF SAFETY PROTOCOLS

Our space and routines are set up in a way that no staff is ever left alone in private with any children. There are no rooms with closed doors other than the bathrooms which are single person use. Staff are not allowed to go into the bathrooms with the kids. There are often kids who need one on one time from a staff member (ie. playing a board game or doing a craft when the child needs a break or is overwhelmed etc...) but this is always done in the open where other staff can see. At least one owner will always be present and watching over the entire group at all times. Eco Farms as a whole is a very communal feeling space.
