It seems that there are as many ways to do worldschooling as there are Worldschools! It is important to us that you know who we are, and what you can expect from us. We want you to feel confident that you’re choosing a hub that aligns with your family’s needs. No hub can be all things to all people. Read on to learn more about our approach and if it resonates with you, we hope you will choose to join us. We would be delighted to welcome you!
Our atmosphere is one of lightness, flexibility and spontaneity! We believe these are the naturally occurring outcomes of a healthy environment. We aim not to be rigid, but rather emphasize choice; Children are encouraged to participate at their own comfort level and not be pressured. We are not anti-competition but we also do not overly focus on competition. We prioritize safety while also encouraging independence and growth, understanding that experiencing and navigating risks is essential for building inner confidence and resilience.
We value the importance of feelings and emotional expression. We strive to create an open space for both children and adults to share their thoughts and feelings, ensuring they feel seen and heard. We believe teaching emotional regulation is a vital life skill that will benefit our children in the long run.
We greatly respect parents and their unique approaches, insights and authority in regards to their own children’s upbringing. We will always strive to work closely with parents to create an inclusive, safe and positive experience for their children.
Recognizing that every household may have different views on topics like candy, junk food, and screen time, we have a few guidelines we kindly ask you to follow. We do not allow kids to use personal screens during hub hours unless it is necessary for a workshop or program (such as creating a stop-motion video), and we encourage families to communicate with each other before bringing and sharing treats.​​

*While much learning will happen throughout the duration of the hub, via our workshops, activities, events, and play, we do not include any academic learning in the traditional sense (ie. math, science or social studies curriculum) We encourage parents to set aside time outside of the hub hours for children to maintain any academic learning they may be pursuing.​

COSTS:
We charge USD$650 for the first child, $575 for the second and $500 for any additional children in the same family, for the full 3 week hub.
We require a 50% deposit upon registration. The remainder is due two weeks prior to the start date of the hub. We accept Bitcoin, Credit Card, US Bank Transfer, Canadian Interac Etransfer, Wise, and Paypal. All additional payment fees are the responsibility of the customer; Please keep this in mind when choosing a payment method.

CANCELLATION POLICY:
We understand that life is not predictable. We will always work closely with our families to minimize negative financial consequences in the event of cancellation. This may include a transfer to a future hub date, a careful review of the specific situation and an honest assessment of the actual impact on the hub. Our official policy is as follows:​​
100% REFUND OF ALL DEPOSITS AND/OR PAYMENTS FOR CANCELLATIONS 30+ DAYS BEFORE HUB START DATE

50% REFUND OF DEPOSIT FOR CANCELLATIONS 15 TO 29 DAYS BEFORE HUB START DATE

0% REFUND FOR CANCELLATIONS 0-14 DAYS BEFORE HUB START DATE
Please note that we are unable to offer refunds due to unforeseen circumstances such as weather conditions, natural disasters, or flight cancellations etc. We strongly recommend that our guests purchase travel insurance that includes trip cancellation to protect themselves and their investment.
